Intro to Acrylic Painting with Hilary Schenker
Learn the basics of acrylic painting in a relaxed atmosphere. Over the course of four weeks, we will cover basic setup, an introduction to materials, basic drawing and composition, color mixing, and mark making. Each class includes a combination of demonstration, individual direction, and discussion. Students will work on painting exercises, and learn the basics of creating an acrylic painting from start to finish! Bring an apron or wear a smock, and spend the evening painting.
This class meets on four Wednesday evenings: April 15, 22, 29, and May 6 from 6pm-8:30pm

Collage isn’t just for paper; it is a quick, fun way to create art with fabric! In this class, we will create small, original textile collages using simple materials. You will learn the importance of composition, fabric selection, and stitch embellishment and how they all come together to make an attractive, finished art quilt.
No sewing experience needed! If you can cut, this class is for you. All materials provided.
Ages 16+
Classes will be held on three consecutive Saturdays: May 2, 9, and 16 from 1-3pm
