The Willow Street Gallery invites you to Post/Process, an exhibit of work by DC Arts Studios member photographers. Curated by Myron Fields, this exhibit explores the transformative journey of images—from their initial capture to the ways they are altered and manifested for the viewer. Post/Process invites visitors to consider the creative undertaking that lies between the moment a photograph is created, and development of a narrative as it is processed and posted publicly by the artist. The show challenges the notion of the photograph as a static record of reality, offering instead a conversation on how the process of crafting an image is as significant as the image itself.

$150

This two-part workshop introduces color theory for photographers of all levels, especially those
of us using our phone cameras to capture everyday life and street scenes. Applying basic color
theory can bring added pop to your work, and reveal new photo opportunities to your eye. We
will learn simple processing techniques and tips for sharing your color-inspired work on social
media. Each class will meet for a lesson at DC Arts Studios, then take walks in Takoma Park to
apply the lesson to your photography, plus a short assignment to complete during the week
between the two classes. Max of 8 participants.
